A suspect is in custody Saturday night after Casper police say they recovered 6–10 pounds of packaged suspected marijuana and about half a dozen mature, flowering cannabis plants.
Sgt. Mitch Hill told Oil City News that a prominent odor of marijuana was reported in an area around the 900 block of North Kimball Street around 1:40 p.m. Saturday. Police obtained and executed a search warrant at the property and discovered the cannabis plants growing in the backyard, Hill said.
The investigation also led to the search of a residence on the 100 block of North Lennox, where Hill said the amount of packaged marijuana discovered may weigh anywhere between 6 and 10 pounds — more than what would be considered for personal use.
