Police have shut down a huge cannabis factory on a busy street in the centre of Cardiff. Officers dismantled the 420-plant farm in a property on City Road on Friday, July 29.
The force gained entry into the site after receiving information. They found a man in the attic causing damage to the roof, climbing out onto the roof and onto the roof of the Ernest Willows pub nearby and damaging a roof tile in the process.
The premises had been fully converted into a cannabis factory with every room being used to grow hundreds of plants. A 22-year-old man, Ronaldo Vidhani, was arrested and charged with producing a controlled drug and criminal damage. He appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody until a further hearing at Cardiff Crown Court.
