A pair of dealers have been jailed after they were caught using Royal Mail post boxes to send envelopes stuffed full of drugs to their customers.
James Willoughby, 27, and Mac Cheremeh, 42, posted hundreds of envelopes containing drugs into post boxes around Chelmsford, Essex.
Drugs including crack cocaine, heroin, MDMA, cannabis, ketamine, LSD, crystal meth, ecstasy, and amphetamine were sent to addresses in the UK, Australia, and the US.
But their scheme was foiled when the Royal Mail found 54 packages arrived at one sorting office within four days – all of them strongly smelling of cannabis.
Royal Mail investigators then intercepted a some 1,800 parcels over the space of a month that had been posted in and around Chelmsford between November and December 2018.
The drugs had an estimated street value of up to £517,500.
