MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Two fishermen found 5-pound bricks of marijuana in two separate fishing trips just hours apart in the Florida Keys Saturday.
Around 12:54 p.m. deputies were called to the 200 block of Atlantic Blvd. in Key Largo where a man who was out diving for lobster reported finding a package of suspected marijuana, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Then around 3:36 p.m. a man out fishing on Big Pine Key found what he believed to also be a bale of marijuana and reported his find to deputies.
MCSO said the water-logged package weighed about five pounds. Both men brought the packages to shore and turned them over to investigators.
