A 34-year-old man will appear before a Sangre Grande Magistrate on Tuesday, to answer to the charge of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
This follows the arrest of Ronnie Pinder, of Raffee Knowles Drive, La Horquetta, during a joint divisional sting operation on Friday in Toco.
Acting on information, Sgts Callender and Scipio, with the assistance of Cpl Raphael, led officers of the Toco and Matelot Police Stations to an area in the Balandra community.
There, the officers executed an intelligence-driven exercise in which they intercepted and search a vehicle being driven by Pinder.
During the search, officers found five packs of transparent plastic packets containing 1.5 kilograms of marijuana. The narcotic seizure has a value of TT$15,000.
Pinder was immediately arrested and charged for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
