Three arrested after Fox Crossing police uncover hundreds of pounds of marijuana, over $100,000 in cash

Three people face multiple charges after police discovered hundreds of pounds of marijuana and marijuana products, along with more than $100,000 in cash, at two addresses on Happy Valley Drive.

John S. Hale, 57;  Billie J. Gerver, 56; and Ashtyn E. Hale, 28, were arrested in late July after drug investigators were contacted by the Postal Service about several suspicious packages sent from California to a residence at 998 Happy Valley Drive, the Fox Crossing Police Department said in a news release Monday afternoon.

Police searched the residence July 20 and found about $40,000 in cash and several ledgers related to the sale of marijuana. The investigation also led police to another residence at 1007 Happy Valley Drive, where they found another $20,000 in cash inside a safe, along with “several hundred pounds of different types of marijuana,” including raw marijuana, edibles, wax and vape cartridges. Police estimated the street value of the marijuana seized to be more than $1 million.
