Snoop Dogg says he moderated his weed consumption and re-evaluated his lifestyle after becoming a grandfather because he wants to see his grandchildren grow old – despite employing a blunt roller who claims he smokes 150 joints a day.
The veteran rapper’s open appreciation for the drug has extended to numerous business ventures, among them edibles, weed strains and a digital media business devoted to marijuana related news.
But Snoop, 51, the first notable celebrity to market their own line of marijuana products, insists his personal use was scrutinised after eldest child Cordé became a father to son Zion in 2015.
‘Being a grandfather has changed me in multiple ways,’ he told MailOnline. ‘The main way is being concerned with how I live, how I move, the kind of people I’m associated with, because I want to see my grandkids grow old.
‘The only way I can do that is to take precautionary steps as far as how I move, who I hang out with, where I go out, my intake, what am I intaking?
‘Am I doing extra-curricular or am I just doing what I’m supposed to be doing?
