Detectives in Ayrshire have arrested and charged four men following the recovery of drugs with a potential street value of £2,000,000.
On Tuesday, 4 April, 2023, Ayrshire Proactive Crime Team carried out a drugs search warrant at a premises at Ardeer Industrial Estate, Stevenston. As a result, a large-scale cannabis cultivation was discovered.
Four men – aged 30, 32, 34 and 36 – have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences. They are expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 5 April, 2023.
Detective Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and I want to reassure the people of Ayrshire that we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the community.
