The Department of Air Cargo and Private Airports has foiled an attempt to smuggle methamphetamine and hashish at Hamad International Airport (HIA). The narcotic substances were seized following the suspicion of the customs officials of the traveler’s bag. Methamphetamine was found hidden inside biscuit boxes with a total weight of 1996 grammes and hashish was found hidden in a box of nuts and it weighed 931.3 grammes.
