Police found cannabis stashed in a dope smoker’s wellies while they raided a Battle Hill home.
Gary Froggatt also had his dope dotted around the family home, even stuffing it behind the microwave.
North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court heard it was for “personal use” to treat his ADHD.
“To put it in crude terms, he was self medicating,” claimed his solicitor.
Wednesday’s sentencing heard the drugs belonged to both the 29-year-old and his dad.
His father was fined earlier this year following the June 15 raid.
And his son has now been slapped with an £80 fine after admitting possessing the Class B drug.
In mitigation, it was said the defendant, of Bowness Avenue in Wallsend, had no previous.
