MANILA, Philippines — Marijuana plants and by-products valued at P192.9 million were confiscated in Kalinga on Thursday and Friday.
Cops uprooted and burned more than 400,000 fully grown marijuana plants and seized 52.2 kilograms of dried marijuana plants and 14 bottles of cannabis on Mt. Chumanchil in Barangay Loccong and Sitio Ballay in Barangay Tulgao, regional police chief Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee said.
Police have yet to identify the cultivators of the marijuana plantations estimated to have a total land area of 7.1 hectares.
