Benguet – Cordillera Police Regional Office (CPRO) Director Brig. Gen. R’win Pagkalinawan personally led a two-day marijuana eradication operation in the hinterlands of Kibungan, Benguet.

Pagkalinawan was assisted by CPRO Deputy Director for Operation Col. Mafelino Bazar, Benguet Provincial Director Col. Elmer Ragay and more than 100 policemen in uprooting and destroying P10-million worth of marijuana plants from March 5 to 6.

The team had to hike for at least six hours to get to the marijuana plantations.

Ragay said the team raided seven plantation sites in Barangay Tacadang ,Kibungan, Benguet.

He said the operation was a follow up of a previous marijuana eradication operation last February 29 at Barangay Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet.

He appealed to the residents to continue supporting the government’s stance against illegal drugs by providing information to the authorities and requeated to the municipal government officials, including the barangays to make a resolution declaring persona-non-grata the individual found cultivating marijuana and drug pushers.
