About 100 kilograms of cannabis discovered during separate stops in New York State’s Oswego County on April Fool’s Day.
April Fool’s Day was no joke for a Canadian man when he was charged with criminal possession of cannabis after police in New York State discovered just shy of 100 kilograms of weed in their car.
Deputies with the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) stopped the vehicle driven by Perry Opoku-Agyemang, 26, of Thornhill, Ont. at about 10:10 a.m. on Apr. 1, notes an OCSO Facebook post.
On 4/1/21 at 10:10 a.m., Perry N. Opoku-Agyemang, 26, of Thornhill, Ontario was charged with Criminal Possession of Cannabis, 1st degree following a traffic stop on I-81S in the Town of Richland where the Sheriff’s Office seized 91.51 lbs of marijuana. Mr. Opoku-Agyemang was held to await arraignment in CAP Court.
Opoku-Agyemang was driving on Interstate 81 south in Richland, N.Y. before being stopped and the police finding 91.5 pounds (41.5 kg). He was initially held to await arraignment.
