Three men were caught running a sophisticated cannabis operation, capable of bringing in upwards of £64,000, from a farm, a court was told.
James Phillip Chester and Joseph Lewis, both from the Manchester area, as well as William Gerrard Clare, of Anglesey, appeared before a hearing at Mold Crown Court.
All three were charged with a conspiracy to produce cannabis while Lewis, 37, and Chester, 42, both faced an additional intent to supply charge.
Prosecuting, Mr John Philpotts, told the court how the large-scale operation was being run from Bryn Teg, a farm in Gwalchmai owned by Anglesey pensioner Clare, aged 71.
The prosecutor went on to say that police raided the property on March 2, 2020.
They discovered more than 200 cannabis plants growing – along with a two kilo block of the Class B drug worth £7,000 hidden in a campervan – and £27,000 dotted about the property that is believed to have come from selling the substance.
Mr Philpotts said that North Wales Police labelled the find as an “industrial scale grow” and clearly for “commercial” purposes that would have been capable of bringing in upwards of £64,000.
