Police intercepted 30 pounds of marijuana being smuggled aboard a commercial flight into Tallahassee earlier this week.

On Monday, as Brailon Miles deboarded a flight at Tallahassee International Airport he was taken into custody on charges of trafficking in marijuana.

Miles, 24, had been under investigation in connection with a drug trafficking investigation out of state, was coming from California, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

Investigators were tipped off that he would be coming to town with two checked bags loaded with marijuana.

A Leon County Sheriff’s Office dog alerted to the presence of marijuana and Miles was taken into custody.
