Luxembourg City police conducted a series of drug checks on Friday night, seizing large amounts of illegal substances.
Some 40 police and customs officers participated in the operation, accompanied by two sniffer dogs. The operation lasted from 7.30pm to midnight and took place around the capital’s main train station.
30 people were searched, four of whom were later arrested for drug possession. All four were brought before magistrates and one was taken into custody.
In total, officers confiscated 144 drug packets, 90.5 grams of cannabis, 80.5 grams of hashish, 8.6 grams of cocaine, seven mobile phones and a large amount of cash.
