A Learner driver and his supervisor have been detected drug driving over the weekend.
Just before 8.30pm, Saturday 3 September, patrols stopped the driver on Penola Road, Mount Gambier and drug tested the driver and his supervisor. Both returned positive tests to cannabis.
Police then conducted an examination of the Commodore sedan and uncovered an amount of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and significant defects with respect to the brakes and steering.
The 21-year-old learner driver and his 23-year-old supervisor, both from Mt Gambier, may face drug driving charges pending forensic analysis of their drug samples. The driver was also reported for possess cannabis and possess equipment and his car was defected before being towed away.
