Iowa: Motorist charged for 1 gram marijuana in tupperware near Doon

DOON—A 44-year-old Ethan, SD, man was cited about 10:10 p.m. Friday, May 22, about five miles east of Doon on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The citing of Eric Bo Aragon stemmed from the stop of a 1998 Chevrolet K-1500 for speeding and an equipment violation at the intersection of 260th Street and Hickory Avenue, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy observed a metal one-hitter marijuana pipe on the floorboard.

Aragon admitted to there being about 1 gram of marijuana in the pickup. The marijuana was located in a Tupperware container. The pipe had the odor of burnt marijuana and Aragon admitted to using it to smoke marijuana about two hours before, according to court documents.
