A California man faces preliminary charges after a traffic stop uncovered more than a hundred pounds of marijuana Tuesday.

The Indiana State Police said 68-year-old Tony Lim was pulled over on US 30 just east of Iris Road. While the trooper was talking with the driver, he became suspicious of possible drug activity.

K9 Chase sniffed around the vehicle and police say he alerted to the smell of narcotics. The Indiana State Police said troopers searched the vehicle and found boxes containing vacuum sealed packages of suspected marijuana.

The total weight of the marijuana is approximately 160 pounds with a street value of approximately $300,000.

Troopers arrested Lim on preliminary charges of Dealing Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana.
