Doha: Customs authorities at Hamad International Airport (HIA) foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotic hashish into Qatar.
Along with a photo shared on social media, Customs stated that the banned substance was found stashed among bed sheets. The total weight seized 1.85 kilograms.
Earlier this week, Customs also seized banned tobaccos at Hamad Port. The banned substance was found inside a mini oven. The total weight of the seized tobacco reached 87 kilograms.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
