The 31-year-old driver of a vehicle was arrested, after 14 bales of the drugs were discovered when a suspect’s vehicle was stopped by a patrol near to Cáceres.
The haul is the largest single confiscation in over a decade in the Extramadura region.
It’s understood the arrested man – who is on remand ahead of his trial – was part of a gang who moved drugs around Spain and Portugal.
