Courtyard of historic Argentine synagogue transformed into small weed grow-op

The Growth Op reports.

Shuttered by COVID-19, a historic synagogue in the small village of Medanos in Argentina became the latest disused space to be hit by opportunistic cultivators looking for a pot-planting place that wouldn’t attract attention.

Unfortunately — at least for the green-thumbed growers — the local police got wind of the illicit grow and shut it down last week, according to The Times of Israel.

There wasn’t that much to the grow-op, consisting of just two plants in the courtyard of the synagogue, which was built between 1913 and 1915 and was once the rural home of about 100 Argentine Jews, The Times of Israel reports.
