Canada: Cannabis seized from unlicensed online cannabis store in Bible Hill

A “significant” quantity of cannabis products was seized Wednesday (Jan. 27) from an unlicensed, online store on Jennifer Drive in Bible Hill the RCMP say.

A 35-year-old man from Truro and a 36-year-old man from Halifax were arrested without incident and are facing the following charges:

– distribution of cannabis;

– possession for the purpose of distributing cannabis;

– unlawfully selling cannabis;

– unauthorized possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling it.

The men, who were arrested after police executed a search warrant at an undisclosed warehouse on Jennifer Drive, have been released from custody and are to appear in Truro provincial court on April 14. The men were not immediately identified because the police informations have yet to be sworn before the court.

The bust was carried out by the Colchester County District RCMP and Colchester District Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), with the assistance of the Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia.

Cpl. Mark Skinner said in a news release that the bust produced a “significant quantity of cannabis, including edibles,” along with some cash.
