Naval Prefecture seized 797 kilos of marijuana in Montecarlo, during a routine patrol carried out this morning in the border area.
Force sources reported that with elements of night vision and the collaboration of the dog Kyra, trained to detect narcotics, he located several packages on kilometer 1789 of the Paraná River, which had been brought into the country in two canoes.
When raking the area, known as Puerto Natural Terrada, the maritime authority found that the 46 packages were covered in nylon and contained marijuana inside.
The drug, valued at more than 100 million pesos according to official calculations, was seized on the instructions of the Federal Court of Eldorado, in charge of Miguel Ángel Guerrero. There were no arrests.
