Bod Australia (BOD) has been awarded US Hemp Authority Certification for its exclusive CBD extract and related products sold under the CBII brand in the US.
The program is the hemp industry’s initiative to provide the highest standards, best practices and self-regulation to underpin consumer and retailer confidence in hemp and CBD products.
The process was undertaken over a 12-month period and included verification around the company’s CBD extract, stringent lab testing and ensuring operations do not utilise synthetic cannabinoids.
The certification adds to the company’s ongoing regulatory recognition, which includes the company’s UK novel food application and is generally recognised as safe status in line with the US Food and Drug Administration safety guidelines.
Further, Bod said certification provides another third-party endorsement for its products and adds another competitive advantage in the US.
The company sees this as another opportunity to increase brand recognition amongst key customers and provides Bod with another intellectual property asset to leverage and drive revenue streams.
