At the same time as firefighters and emergency responders were at the site of an accident near Best Buy, police were arresting a man less than 30 feet away at the same time on an unrelated DUI charge that netted a large amount of marijuana. According to New York State Police on the scene, the marijuana discovered inside the car far exceeded the three ounces allowed. Police also found an open container of alcohol inside the car.
According to police, employees at a nearby store called police after a man believed to be intoxicated, was making a scene inside the store. The WENY News reporter on the scene saw the man screaming at police as he was being loaded into the back of a state police vehicle.
