Bakersfield: Man killed in shooting at cannabis dispensary identified

Lloyd Wayne Cockrell, 55, of Bakersfield was identified by the Kern County Corner’s Office. He was shot and killed Saturday on Stine Road near Pacheco Road, according to the department.

Cockrell was found at a marijuana dispensary at 5:20 p.m. with a gunshot wound said KCSO. He died less than an hour later at the scene, according to the coroner.

There is no suspect information available.

The Bakersfield Police Department is trying to find the person responsible for a deadly shooting in southwest Bakersfield Saturday night.

Officers were called to a marijuana dispensary in the 4800 block of Stine Road around 5:20 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived they found a man inside the business suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency Medical aid was called but he died before they could take him to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
