Australia: Police find 40 cannabis plants in Rochester raid

MORE than 40 cannabis plants were found during a drug raid at a Rochester property.

Police stormed the Mackay St home and sheds on Friday, November 13, where they found two grow rooms along with the plants.

The occupant, a 52-year-old man, was charged with cultivating and possessing cannabis.

Senior Constable Ian Carfoot of Echuca police thanked the public for information that led to the search warrant.

Another property was raided the same day in Echuca.

While unrelated to the Rochester search, police found a small amount of cannabis at the Ogilvie Ave premises.

An Echuca man was issued with a cannabis caution.
