Channel 9 News report

A man has made quite the entrance into a Melbourne police station, crashing his car into a fire hydrant outside then coming in to ask for his seized drugs back.

The car drove on to the footpath, through a garden bed and into the hydrant outside the Richmond Police Station on Saturday afternoon and a male passenger got out, telling officers he was there to retrieve drugs seized from him the day before.

The 59-year-old Croydon South man was arrested for the second time in two days after police searched him and allegedly found heroin, while the woman driving the car was taken to hospital and will be interviewed at a later date.
