Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia established the involvement of Igor Toma, Vasiliu Garabadzhi and the brothers Alexey and Vitalie Gelesku in smuggling during the investigation of cases of drug dealers involved in the spread of Moroccan hashish. Three citizens of Belarus, detained in June 2017 with 35 kilograms of hashish in a car, pointed at the brothers Galescu and their accomplices. For smuggling, they received significant terms.


In Karachi  they’ve been rounding up the small fry

ARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th Jan, 2019 ) :As many as 49 suspects were arrested and 1315 grams hashish was seized in different raids by the South Zone police of Karachi during the last 24 hours.

The police also recovered three pistols, nine bullets, four grams ice, two mobile phones and one motorcycle from the accused, saidpolice sources on Monday.


In Dabolim Airport, Goa

An alert sub-inspector of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) attached to the Dabolim airport detained a passenger, who was supposed to board Doha-bound Qatar Airways flight (QR-523), for allegedly smuggling 3.518 kg of hashish, worth Rs 18 lakh, during the wee hours of Monday.

As per available information from CISF commandant Nilotpal Mrinal, attached to the airport, the alert sub-inspector Chandra Bhushan while discharging his duty at the pre-embarkation security check at the security hold area noticed ‘image’ of suspicious material inside a bag as it was passing through X-BIS machine at around
2.16 am.

“The sub-inspector selected the bag for a thorough search, and the passenger who is identified as Sharif Pandu Sheikh (36), a resident of Bicholim, was asked to open the bag for that. On opening the bag, multiple packets of black material wrapped in plastic and carbon paper, weighing around 3.518 kg, which were concealed in the false bottom were found,” said Mrinal and added that subsequently the material was checked using drug detection kit, which confirmed it to be  hashish.

In Kohalpur , Nepal

Two persons held with five kg hashish

Police held Narendra Raj Gharti, 26, and Dhan Bahadur Budha, 29, of Bheri Municipality in Jajarkot district, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ramesh Bahadur Singh of Area Police Office, Kohalpur. DSP Singh added that further action has been initiated against the two.

The authorities fear that Kohalpur is becoming an infamous transit point for smuggling of banned narcotics in the recent times. Last week, police personnel held three persons with 30.5 kilograms of hashish from Kohalpur, Banke.

In Sialkot ( Punjab, Pakistan)

SIALKOT-The police claimed to have recovered as many as 21kg of fine quality hashish (worth millions of rupees) from the den of local drug trafficker Muhammad Yousaf alias Yusi in village Othiyaan-Daska. The police also arrested the accused during a raid conducted here on Monday.

According to local senior police officials, the Bambaanwala Police have sent the accused behind the bars after registration of a case against him. Further investigation is underway in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Kotwali Police have arrested 17 gamblers (including a Daska-based councillor) while gambling in a local factory situated in the Sialkot city’s congested Muhammadpura locality.

Senior police officials informed that the police also recovered Rs1.5 million stake money from the spot.

The police have sent the accused identified as Muhammad Boota, Abdul Ghafur, Mushtaq Ahmed, Muhammad Sadique, Manzar Saleem, Zaheer, Azizur Rehman , Qasim Ali, Rafiq Ahmed, Khalid Sindhu, Iftikhar Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz ,Abdul Baseer, Zaheer Akram and Gulfam Qasim (Councilor Municipal Committee Daska) behind the bars after registration of a case against them.
