MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics officers arrested the consignee of a parcel containing P2.2 million worth of kush or high-grade marijuana delivered to Marikina City yesterday.
Arthur Antonio was apprehended upon accepting the parcel, which held 1.8 kilos of kush. The package – declared to contain cookies, toys, balloons and school supplies – was examined upon its arrival at the DHL warehouse from California.
The package was reportedly sent by Allan Gatchalian.
The controlled delivery was staged by operatives of the Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group.
